25-Year-Old Accused Of Stabbing Victim Outside Bar In Westchester An investigation has led to the arrest of a man in connection to a stabbing outside a bar in Northern Westchester. New York State Police say the suspect, Luis F. Contreras Paredes, age 25, of Peekskill, engaged in a physical altercation and stabbed the victim in Cortlandt on Crompond Road (Route 202) outside of My Second House Bar. on Wednesday, May 29. Paredes was charged with assault in the second degree, a Class D felony. Contreras Paredes was turned over to the custody of Westchester County Corrections for an active, unrelated arrest warrant.

Man Dies After Being Struck By Vehicle In Westchester Police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash in Northern Westchester. It happened at approximately 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, on Crompond Road and Lafayette Avenue in the town of Cortlandt. When police arrrived, Peekskill Emergency Medical Services was already on scene rendering aid to the pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle and transported to Hudson Valley Hospital, state police said.  The man later identified as Edwin G. Westchester Clerk Cited For Selling Alcohol To Underage Youth A Northern Westchester gas station clerk was cited recently for selling beer to a 16-year-old who was assisting Westchester County Police with alcohol compliance checks at businesses that sell alcohol. The underage youth, under the supervision of county police, was sent into 17 stores in Cortlandt to attempt to buy a six-pack of beer. He was able to purchase beer on one occasion and was turned away at the other establishments.
