School District Taps New Superintendent In Westchester: 'I Am Very Excited' A school district in Westchester has announced who will succeed its outgoing superintendent after his upcoming retirement.  In an announcement on Monday, April 1, the Ardsley Union Free School District revealed that Matthew Block would take over as superintendent effective on Monday, July 1. Dr. Donald Gordon Of Ridgefield, With Two Offices In Fairfield County, Dies Suddenly A "dedicated physician" with two offices in Fairfield County, Dr. Donald Gordon, of Ridgefield, died suddenly on Wednesday, Aug. 21, at age 64. Gordon was born to Leo and Fryda Gordon on June 15, 1955, in Schenectady, New York. Dr. Gordon earned his bachelor of science from American University in 1977, and a doctor of medicine (MD) from the Emory School of Medicine in 1981. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Emory Hospital in 1984 and his gastroenterology hepatology fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia in 1986. He was a gastroenterologist in priv…
