Greenburgh Interns Promote Recycling GREENBURGH, N.Y. – The results of this year's seventh annual Greenburgh Town Hall Summer Internship Program will be presented at the Aug.19 Town Board meeting. The aim of this year's program was to learn and demonstrate source separation for the purpose of organic recycling, with help from the Greenburgh Nature Center. Eight students worked on creating and implementing an eight-week. program of educating the public on source separation, which is separating food from trash. Man With 20-Plus Convictions Is Charged In Peekskill Beauty Salon Burglary PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – A 43-year-old man was arrested Tuesday by Peekskill Police in connection with the Sunday morning burglary of Daisy's Beauty Salon on South Street. Ernest Gordineer, of Beacon, was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary after an officer recognized him. He was also charged with two counts of grand larceny by New York State Police in connection with two other robberies in July after he was recognized by another officer. Gordineer, who has more than 20 criminal convictions, was due in Peekskill City Court Tuesday afternoon for arraignment.
