The training exercise was held at New Rochelle's Iona University on Monday, Dec. 23, according to the Yonkers Police Department.

The "realistic simulation" allowed officers to "hone their skills and practice interagency coordination in a critical incident," the department said on social media.

The department also posted photos from the exercise taken inside university classrooms.
