Judges Vacate 12 Convictions Connected To Former Westchester Detective Nabbed On Perjury Charge
Following an extensive review process, narcotics-related charges for a dozen people that were connected to a former Westchester County detective convicted of perjury have been vacated, officials announced. The 12 vacaturs were announced on Wednesday, Nov. 13 by the Westchester County District Attorney's Office, which reviewed the cases based on the perjury conviction of former Yonkers Police Detective Christian Koch in 2015. A 40-year-old man will spend decades in prison for fatally shooting a Hudson Valley father in front of his children in Northern Westchester. Man Hospitalized After Bike Hits Car Driving Through Intersection In Westchester
A 65-year-old man was taken to a hospital after a two-vehicle collision at a Westchester intersection. The crash happened in Yonkers on Thursday, Nov. 7 just before 5:30 p.m., when a car traveling through the intersection of Wakefield and Woodlawn Avenues on a green light was struck by a bicycle, according to Yonkers Police Sergeant Robert Spink. Spink said the bicyclist reported pain in his leg and hand and was taken to a nearby hospital. The vehicle involved in the crash remained at the scene.

The votes are in, and New York's 16th Congressional District now knows its next representative in Congress. A man convicted for a Westchester County robbery is finally facing justice after fleeing his jail sentence for his home country more than four decades ago, police announced. Noel Hernandez, age 64, was flown back to Westchester on Friday, Oct. 18 to serve his jail sentence for a robbery in January 1981, the Westchester County Police Department said on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
