PELHAM, N.Y. MTA workers labored at the Pelham Metro-North train station on Wednesday to replace wooden railroad ties on the track.
The crew used cranes and other machinery to dig up the existing ties from the gravel and install new pieces. Workers said the construction would not affect the flow of trains through the Pelham station.
Crew members started the work on Wednesday and planned to finish on Thursday.
