Man Barricades Himself Into Mahopac Apartment With Fake Handgun: Police A 23-year-old man was taken into custody after barricading himself in a Hudson Valley apartment with what appeared to be a handgun, police announced. The incident began in Putnam County on Monday, Feb. 19 around 10:20 p.m., when residents told authorities that they had seen a neighbor flash a black handgun in a threatening manner before fleeing to his apartment on East Lake Boulevard (Route 72) in Mahopac, according to Carmel Police.  Police soon arrived and established a perimeter around the apartment while also evacuating adjacent units. Suspect Nabbed After Store Robbed At Knifepoint In Peekskill A suspect has been apprehended after an armed robbery at a business in Northern Westchester. The incident happened around 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9 in Peekskill on the 1000 block of Main Street. Woman Faces Charges After Barricading Herself In Northern Westchester Home, Police Say A Northern Westchester woman is facing charges after allegedly threatening a worker at her home. Police were called to the house on Gerard Court in Yorktown Tuesday, April 19, for a reported dispute between a resident and workers at the home, Yorktown Police said. Officers determined that the 44-year-old woman, whose name was not released, had pointed what appeared to be a gun at one of the workers and threatened to shoot him, police said.
