Man, Woman Struck While In Crosswalk In Area, Police Say State Police are investigating after a man and woman were struck by a vehicle while crossing a busy roadway in the area. The incident took place around 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 18 in Village of Wappingers Falls while the two were crossing in a crosswalk on West Main Street at the intersection with West Street, said Wappingers Falls Police Lt. Man Nabbed For Stealing $1K In Merchandise From Local Vendor New York State Police troopers busted a man who allegedly stole more than $1,000 in merchandise from a Dutchess County vendor. An investigation into the stolen merchandise that was launched last year led to the arrest of Ellenville resident John Keelyn, 38, who allegedly stole from a vendor in Wappinger without paying for it. Keelyn was arrested this week and charged with a felony count of fourth-degree grand larceny. Following arraignment in the Village of Wappingers Falls Court, Keelyn was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $250 cash bail. Keelyn is due back in court on Tuesd…
