ICE Five-Day Nyc-area Enforcement Crackdown Includes Arrests In Westchester Individuals from four Hudson Valley counties were among 118 people from southern New York arrested for violating U.S. immigration laws during a five-day crackdown in mid-January by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The detail, called "Operation Cross Check,"  was conducted in New York City, Long Island and the Hudson Valley from Jan. 14-18. Gas Prices In New York Highest In Four Years For Fourth Of July Holiday Prices at the gas pump dropped a cent in New York over the past week, but motorists planning on traveling for the Fourth of July will see a four-year peak in prices during the holiday. With one of the busiest travel holidays just days away, statewide gas prices dropped a cent over the week, though national prices are up two cents from a week ago, up to an average of $2.86 per gallon.
