Oil Truck Driver Pinned Under Truck Severely Injured At Hudson Valley An oil delivery truck driver pinned under his truck when it rolled over him at a Hudson Valley home was critically injured. The incident occurred in Rockland County on Thursday, Oct. 31, around 9:30 a.m. near 88 Buckingham Court, in Pomona. According to Haverstraw Police Chief John Gould, the truck driver was found conscious but had sustained multiple injuries. The Fire Department and EMS arrived on the scene and extricated the driver. Vehicle Catches On Fire On New Tappan Zee Bridge In Westchester, Impacts Traffic A vehicle fire impacted traffic on the new Tappan Zee Bridge off the shore of Westchester County.  The blaze happened on Thursday, Aug. 22 just before 11 a.m., when a truck caught on fire in the northbound lanes of I-87 on the bridge near the Tarrytown shore, according to the New York State Thruway Authority.  The incident temporarily caused the left lane to be completely blocked. Crash Slows Traffic On Route 9 In Garrison A collision involving a truck impacted traffic on a busy route in the Hudson Valley. The crash happened in Putnam County on Wednesday, July 17, when vehicles collided on Route 9 near the entrance of The Bird & Bottle Inn, according to the Garrison Volunteer Fire Company. Arriving first responders found the drivers out of their vehicles and stayed at the scene to control traffic and clean debris.
