Residents of Putnam County and neighboring communities are being advised of possible COVID contamination at TOPS Friendly Markets, located on Route 6 in Carmel, by the Putnam County Department of Health. Carmel Man Faces Shoplifting Charge A man from Carmel has been charged with shoplifting after an incident at a local supermarket. On Thursday, Jan. 24 around 5:15 p.m., police responded to Tops Friendly Markets in Putnam Plaza upon a report of a man taking items from the store. Police arrived and arrested 50-year-old Anthony Bova. He was transported to the Putnam County Correctional Facility for processing. Bova was issued an appearance ticket for petit larceny.
