Out-Of-Control Fight At Area High School Leads To Large Police Response This story has been updated. An out-of-control fight at Poughkeepsie High School caused a "hold-in-place" at the school as well as a large police response. The incident took place around 12:56 p.m., Monday, Nov. 18, when the City of Poughkeepsie Police received a call for help from school security, said City of Poughkeepsie Police Chief Richard T. Wilson. According to the chief, numerous members of the department responded including patrol, traffic, detectives and supervisors.
