Covid-19: NY Will Ramp Up Testing For Frontline Workers, Allow Pharmacies To Conduct Tests New York State is expanding testing for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) to include more frontline workers as a result of rapidly increasing diagnostic testing capacity.  The expanded criteria will now allow all first responders, healthcare workers and essential employees to be tested for COVID-19 even if they aren't symptomatic, Gov. Peekskill Welcomes New Police Academy Graduate Sixty police recruits graduated Friday, May 25 from the Westchester County Police Academy and have landed coveted law enforcement jobs at 16 police departments in Westchester and one in New York City. The new officers, who completed 20 weeks of training at the police academy in Valhalla, received their diplomas during a ceremony at Purchase College of the State University of New York.
