2-Alarm Fire Tears Through Home In Hudson Valley, Brings Heavy Response Firefighters battled an intense house fire in Dutchess County that required a second alarm and help from multiple departments.  The blaze began in Wappingers Falls just after noon on Sunday, Jan. 4, when Hughsonville firefighters were dispatched to 218 Old Hopewell Rd. after an alarm sounded, the Hughsonville Fire Department said.
