A 32-year-old Long Island man was arrested on DUI and speeding charges following a late-night traffic stop in Fairfield County, CT, authorities said.
Christopher Paul Campbell of Huntington, NY, was stopped by police in Wilton after police saw him speeding in a gray Tesla on Danbury Road at approximately 12:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, local police said in a press release.
Campbell, whose LinkedIn shows he works as an ICU nurse, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failed to perform standardized field sobriety tests to standard, police said.

A New Jersey man is accused of driving drunk with a child in his vehicle after being stopped for speeding on Interstate 87 in Westchester County, NY, police said.
The arrest happened after an incident at around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 7, when troopers saw a 2025 Mazda CX-9 speeding northbound on I-87 and pulled it over in Ardsley, according to New York State Police.
Troopers said the driver, Jose Vargas, 39, showed signs of impairment, including slurred speech, diminished reflexes, and the odor of alcohol. A child was also found in the back seat, police added.

Four men are facing weapons charges after State Police allegedly busted a speeding driver on a Westchester County highway.
Troopers first spotted the suspect’s vehicle at around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, as it drove through Yonkers on the Sprain Brook Parkway.

Between Wednesday, Nov. 24, and Sunday, Nov. 28, New York State Police issued 12,975 tickets during their annual Thanksgiving holiday traffic enforcement period, down slightly from the previous year’s campaign.

A speeding driver in Westchester is facing charges after being busted by police with a blood alcohol concentration more than double the legal limit, authorities announced.
