A former student has been accused of making threats against a current student at a high school in the Hudson Valley. On Thursday, March 23 at approximately 12:30 pm, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into threats made on social media targeting a student at Brewster High School. Two Schools In Hudson Valley Go Remote After Social Media Threats
Two schools in the Hudson Valley have moved to remote learning following a social media threat. Both Poughkeepsie Middle School and Poughkeepsie High School will be operating on a remote learning schedule on Monday, March 21, due to the social media threat made against both schools, according to a message on the district's website. Police in Northern Westchester are investigating a social media threat reportedly made by a student threatening violence. Teen Charged After Making Shooting Threat To Area High School, Police Say
A teenage student has been charged with making a social media threat of a shooting at the high school he attends in the area. Word of the threat in Dutchess County at Franklin D. Roosevelt High School was provided to police around 9:21 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21 to the Town of Hyde Park Police, said Hyde Park Police Chief Robert Benson.
