2-Car Crash Hospitalizes 1, Closes Part Of Busy Hudson Valley Road A two-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley sent one person to the hospital and caused a brief closure on a busy roadway. The incident happened in Putnam County on Wednesday, April 17 just before 10 a.m., when two cars collided on Route 6N in Mahopac near Parker Drive, according to the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department.  Arriving first responders soon closed Route 6N at the nearest intersections and tended to the drivers' injuries. One driver was taken to Hudson Valley Hospital while the other refused medical attention.

One Hospitalized In Crash That Causes Route 6N Closure One person was hospitalized Sunday in a two-vehicle crash that occurred at the intersection of Route 6N and Rose Drive/Stillwater Road in Mahopac. Mahopac Falls Fire, EMS and Fire Police quickly responded with Chief Brian Sacher taking control of the scene as Incident Command, with Capt. Dan Meury handling Operations. Dealing with heavy Sunday midday traffic, Fire police closed the southbound 6N traffic and detoured vehicles across Stillwater Rd.  EMT's triaged the victims, with one being transported to Putnam Hospital with minor injuries and one refusing medical attention.

Police Track Down Stolen Vehicle Suspect In Yorktown A man driving a stolen car while in possession of narcotics took officers on a brief chase on Route 6N before being apprehended, according to the Yorktown Police Department. Following information provided regarding the direction the suspect took off in from Cromwell Circle, police were able to track down the stolen car on Route 6N in Mahopac. Police said that the officers attempted to stop the driver - later identified as 33-year-old Shaun Noone of Yorktown - though he initially refused to stop.
