Orange County resident Horace Duke, of Wallkill, was indicted on Thursday, Nov. 3 for manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon for the Sunday, Oct. 30 incident, said Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler. Crash Destroys FedEx Tractor-Trailer On Busy Roadway In Region A driver managed to escape severe injuries during a crash of a FedEx tractor-trailer. The crash took place in Sullivan County in the town of Thompson on Route 17 around 7 a.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 30. According to the Rock Hill Fire Department, the driver was able to exit the vehicle on his own and was immediately transported to the hospital by Mobile medic EMS with non-life-threatening injuries. Santiago of Garnerville was killed around 4:05 p.m., on Route 17 in Orange County, said New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel. The crash took place when Santiago lost control near Exit 127 in Chester and struck the northern guardrail, Nevel said. Troopers stopped Matamoras, Pa. resident Jeremy Maun, 33, and Greeley, Pa. resident Christopher Scurto, 25, at approximately midnight on Monday, March 12 in Monroe for equipment violations. During the stop, troopers discovered that the duo were in possession of 510 bags of heroin, which were hidden in the vehicle.
