Suffocation, Fall Risks Prompt Recall Of Popular Baby Loungers A baby lounger sold on Amazon has been recalled after federal safety officials warned it poses a risk of suffocation and falls for infants. The recall was issued for about 23,000 URMYWO baby loungers in the "grey feather" style, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Thursday, Sept. 4. The loungers violate the federal standard for infant sleep products. According to the CPSC, the sides are too short to secure a baby, and the sleeping pad is too thick. 29 People Injured, Forcing Recall Of 'Burst-Proof' Garden Hoses More than 3.5 million garden hoses are being recalled after they suddenly burst, injuring nearly 30 people. Winston Products issued the recall for about 3.6 million HydroTech expandable garden hoses, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said on Thursday, July 24. The hoses were marketed as "burst-proof," but they can rupture, causing an impact hazard and, in some cases, temporarily impairing hearing. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announced it’s sending out more than $126 million in refunds to players who were charged for unwanted in-game purchases, as part of a settlement with Fortnite’s developer, Epic Games. The latest round of payments includes 969,173 checks and PayPal transfers issued on June 25 and 26, the FTC said this week.
