Westchester Trio Charged With Stealing Over 100 Gallons Of Cooking Oil From Restaurant
Three people from Westchester were charged with stealing cooking oil from a Dutchess County restaurant. On Wednesday, Oct. 19 at around 10:30 a.m., police in the Dutchess County town of Red Hook were alerted of a theft at the Jaeger Haus Restaurant at 5084 NY-9G, according to the Red Hook Police Department. After responding to the scene, police learned that suspects driving a white Home Depot box van had stolen cooking oil and driven away, authorities said. Cow Crashes Into Car On Busy Hudson Valley Roadway
An area driver received a minor injury after striking a cow that was in the roadway in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place around 8:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 28 in Red Hook in Dutchess County. Man Dies After House Fire Breaks Out In Area
A 61-year-old man died when an early morning house fire broke out in the area, officials said. First responders in Dutchess County were dispatched to a Red Hook home on Rokeby Road at approximately 6:47 a.m. on Wednesday, April 21, where there was a report of a fire that had spread in a home, trapping a man inside. An investigation is underway after two incidents of a man having suspicious contact with children were reported to police. The New York State Police, Rhinebeck Police Department, and the Red Hook Police Department are investigating the incidents that happened in Dutchess County on Tuesday, Jan. 28 in the towns of both Rhinebeck and Red Hook. A 26-year-old man accused of firing gunshots at police officers in the area has been charged with attempted murder. Shortly after 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, two officers from the Red Hook Police Department responded to the area of Princeton Street and Columbia Avenue for a property dispute. Motorcycle Crash Leaves 17-Year-Old Girl Severely Injured
A 17-year-old girl was severely injured after losing control of a motorcycle she was driving. The crash took place around 3:25 p.m., Monday, Oct. 14 in Dutchess on Manor Road in the town of Red Hook, said the Red Hook Police Department on Facebook. When Red Hook officers arrived on the scene they located the 17-year-old female semiconscious and suffering from serious injuries from the crash.
