42 New Covid-19 Cases Reported In Putnam: Latest Breakdown By Town There have been 42 newly confirmed cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Putnam County, bringing the total to 942 cases since the pandemic began in New York 55 days ago. There were at least three new cases in each Putnam County town, with one more reported death, which marks 39 county residents who have died from the virus since the outbreak started. According to the Putnam County Department of Health, there are currently 19 county residents hospitalized with COVID-19, while they are still monitoring 83 potential cases. Putnam County Reaches 900 Covid-19 Cases: Latest Breakdown By Town The number of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Putnam County has hit 900 as the virus continues to spread. There were new cases reported in each town, with more than 70 in each, according to the Putnam County Department of Health. There have been 38 Putnam residents who died from COVID-19. The Department of Health said that there are still 17 COVID-19 patients being treated at Putnam Hospital - five less than the day before - with 85 potential cases still being monitored. Five Hospitalized In Rollover, Two-Vehicle Crash Five people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle rollover crash in the area. It happened around 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28 in Mahopac at West Lovell Street and Kia Ora Boulevard. One of the vehicles landed on its side, with all five of its occupants out of the vehicle when Mahopac Fire, EMS and Rescue and multiple units from Carmel Police arrived at the scene. The five were transported to Putnam Hospital for evaluation. A couple in the second vehicle involved declined medical transport after being checked by Medics and EMTs.

Man Struck, Killed By Car Driven By Carmel Teen Outside Area Bar A 52-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle outside of a bar in the area. The crash took place around 11:45 p.m., Tuesday, July 30, in the area of Tina's Bar, at 4081 Route 52, in Stormville, said the East Fishkill Police. Officers responding to the scene discovered the unidentified man just off the roadway on the north shoulder. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. It appears the man was in the westbound driving lane when a 2006 Audi driving westbound struck him. The driver of the Audi, a 19-year-old teen from Carmel, stopped shortly after the collision, police said.…

One Hospitalized In Route 6 Crash Between Car, Truck A crash between a car and a truck on Route 6 in Mahopac sent one person to the hospital.  The crash took place around noon, Wednesday, July 17, on Route 6 near Lupi Court, causing police to close one lane of the highway, said Jack Casey of the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department. Mahopac Fire, EMS and Fire responded, along with an ambulance, which transported one patient to Putnam Hospital.  The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Carmel Police.

The incident took place around 9 p.m. Sunday when several teens were swimming off a floating dock at a neighborhood beach on Shore Drive, officials said.
