Residents Evacuated After Rags Spontaneously Combust In Westchester Home
Residents of a home in Westchester had to be evacuated after a used rag pile spontaneously combusted in their residence, starting a fire. The incident happened on Saturday, March 4, around 1:45 p.m., when a Port Chester police officer on patrol noticed smoke coming out of the second story of a house on Olivia Street. Police have detained a suspect in the robbery of a gas station in Westchester County. Earlier Report - Police Searching For Suspect In Armed Robbery Of Port Chester Gas Station On Thursday, Oct. 13, around 7 p.m., Port Chester Police responded to a robbery at the BP gas station at 230 Boston Post Road (Route 1), police said. Coyote Sightings Prompt Police Warning In Port Chester
Port Chester police issued a warning on Monday, April 23 of coyote sightings. "There have been reports today, of coyote sightings on Olivia Street as well downtown by Costco," police said on their Facebook page. "Please if spotted, stay away and call us, we have people trained to handle this as well as trappers available if needed. Keep an eye on your pets, especially dusk-dawn hours," the police department wrote.
