A Westchester man who chased his wife down the street and repeatedly stabbed her, leaving her with more than 30 wounds, will spend over a decade in prison, prosecutors announced. Carlos Obed-Tovar, 35, of White Plains, was sentenced Thursday, Aug. 14, to 12 years in state prison and five years of post-release supervision for the May 2024 domestic violence attack, Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace said. Pelham Nurse Who Swapped Painkillers With Saline Gets Prison Sentence: Feds
A former nurse at a Stamford outpatient surgical clinic will spend five months in prison for tampering with vials of powerful painkillers stolen from the facility. Kristen Carotenuto, 35, of Pelham, New York, admitted to taking hydromorphone and fentanyl from a secure storage area at the clinic where she worked, the U.S. attorney for Connecticut said. Two sisters were arrested after allegedly attacking a nursing student while they were walking from a Westchester County bus stop, police said.
