Man Arrested For Cutting The Throat Of Clerk During Armed Robbery A Hyde Park man is behind bars after allegedly cutting the throat of a gas station clerk and then stabbing him numerous times during an armed robbery of the business. The incident took around 1:42 a.m., Saturday, at the Mobile gas station at 3480 North Road, said Town of Poughkeepsie Police Capt. Kevin Faber. During the commission of the crime, Matthew Garcia, 26, brandished a knife and attacked the clerk before stealing money and fleeing from the business, Faber said.
