Woman Killed Crossing Busy Hudson Valley Roadway, Police Say A woman was killed after she was struck by a Jeep Wrangler crossing a busy roadway. The incident took place around 3:15 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 1 in Dutchess County in the City of Beacon. The woman was crossing Main Street and Teller Avenue when she was struck by a vehicle, said Detective Sergeant Jason Johnson, of the City of Beacon Police. The arrests took place around 11:40 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 19, when City of Beacon Police officers responded to the area of Main Street and Schenck Avenue for a past assault, said Det. Sgt. 'Arrest Imminent,' Police Say After Area Stabbing Victim Hospitalized Beacon Police say an "investigation is ongoing and an arrest is imminent" after a victim was stabbed earlier this week. At around 1:15 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, City of Beacon Police officers were dispatched to the area of 455 Main Street for a report of a man with a stab wound.  An investigation determined that the incident occurred further down on the East End of Main Street, police said.
