Roadway Removal Scheduled Near New TZB Westchester Landing Motorists should be prepared for northbound lane closures and delays as Tappan Zee Constructors (TZC) begin preparation work next week to remove roadway sections of I-87/I-287 near the new bridge’s Westchester landing.  The closures will allow TZC to install new precast concrete slabs in the coming weeks. The work will create a new base roadway for the twin-span crossing’s connection to the Thruway when the second span opens later this year. $14.7M Will Be Spent To Rehab I-84 Bridge In Two-Year Project The New York State Bridge Authority awarded a $14.7 million contract to rehabilitate the Interstate 84 bridge over Route 9W in the Town of Newburgh. The project will affect I-84 motorists using the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge for two years. A state contract with Castleton-based A.
