Man Assaults Victim With Hammer In Domestic Dispute, Police Say A 34-year-old man was arrested after assaulting another person with a hammer during a domestic dispute, according to the New York State Police. James M. Macisaac of Pine Plains was arrested Sunday for the attack with took place on Friday, July 13, in Pine Plains, said Trooper AJ Hicks. Troopers were alerted to the attack when nurses at Northern Dutchess Hospital reported a possible victim of domestic violence, Hicks said. An investigation found the victim was assaulted by Macisaac with a hammer, he said. Macisaac was then located at his residence on Church Street and arrested and charged …

Area Man Stole Kayak, Paddles Valued At $1.2K, Police Say An investigation by state police led to the arrest of a 26-year-old Hyde Park man for stealing a kayak and paddles valued at $1,200. State Police from the Rhinebeck barracks arrested Christopher Kane for criminal possession of stolen property, a Class E felony, on Tuesday, June 26. On April 13, troopers responded to Fiddlers Bridge Road in the town of Clinton for a report of a stolen kayak and paddles.  An investigation led to the discovery of Kane possessing the stolen items, police said. Two Students Charged In Threats To Hudson Valley Schools Two students were arrested in unrelated incidents for threatening area schools in the Pine Plains and BOCES school districts, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office. The first incident took place around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday when deputies responded to the BOCES Tech Center in the Town of Hyde Park for a report of someone making threats of “shooting up the school” via Snapchat, said Capt.
