Bullet Found On School Grounds In Hudson Valley, Causes Lockdown Authorities are investigating after a bullet was found outside a middle school in the Hudson Valley, prompting the building to enter into a lockdown.  The incident happened in Putnam County on Thursday, Feb. 8, when a single bullet was found in a grassy area outside George Fischer Middle School in Carmel just before noon, according to Captain Michael Grossi of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
