"The Worldwide Leader in Sports" has reached a major deal with the most popular league in the US. ESPN is acquiring the National Football League's media assets, the network confirmed in a news release on Wednesday, Aug. 6. The league's assets include NFL Network, NFL RedZone, and NFL Fantasy. Purchase College's Max Pearce of Tuckahoe has been selected to the Slam Dunk Championship roster for the 30th annual State Farm College Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships on Thursday, March 29. Pearce, a senior captain of the basketball team, will compete at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, according to a SUNY Purchase spokeswoman.
