Car Lands On Roof In Early-Morning Mahopac Crash A Hudson Valley crash that left a car flipped on its roof caused a road to temporarily close.  The wreck happened in Putnam County on Saturday, Jan. 18 just before 3:30 a.m., when a car overturned on Bucks Hollow Road in Mahopac, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department.  The driver was able to escape from their car and refused an ambulance trip, firefighters said. The crash, which happened on Friday, Jan. 17 around 1:45 p.m. in Putnam County, has left Route 9 closed in Garrison in the area of Old Highland Turnpike, the Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services announced.  Police and first responders are operating in the area. Blaze Tears Through Home In Westchester Firefighters in Westchester quickly extinguished a house fire that broke out early in the morning, officials said. The blaze occurred in the Greenhaven area of Rye on Monday morning, Dec, 9, according to the Rye Fire Department.
