Man, 38, Caught After Breaking Into Route 82 Residence, Police Say A man attempted to evade police officers after he was caught on camera breaking into a home and stealing items. Officers from the East Fishkill Police Department were dispatched to a residence on Route 82 shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16, where there was a report of vandals inside the house. While police were en route, they received a second report that a man had fled the residence on foot. According to police, officers arrived at the scene and set a perimeter. Free Scam Prevention Seminars Scheduled In Area With a host of elderly scams taking place across the region, two free, public seminars will be held next week to help elders avoid becoming victims.Held by Sen. Sue Serino, chairman of the state Senate Aging Committee, along with the Department of State, the two seminars will be held from in Putnam Valley and Hopewell Junction.
