16-Year-Old Accused Of Firing Gun At Vehicle In Area A 16-year-old boy has been charged for firing a gun at a vehicle in the area. The incident happened in the area near 29 North Hamilton Street in the City of Poughkeepsie late Friday morning, Aug. 7.  No one was injured and the vehicle was not hit. Teen Charged After Making Shooting Threat To Area High School, Police Say A teenage student has been charged with making a social media threat of a shooting at the high school he attends in the area. Word of the threat in Dutchess County at Franklin D. Roosevelt High School was provided to police around 9:21 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21 to the Town of Hyde Park Police, said Hyde Park Police Chief Robert Benson. The post featured a picture of a bathroom wall at FDR stating there was going to be a shooting at the school the following day.
