The incident took place in Dutchess County around 4 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 7, when a large pit bull broke loose from its owner and attacked the 14-year-old girl and the dog's owner, in the area of Thomas Avenue and Geering Park in the town of Fishkill. Officers responded to a First Street home in New Rochelle shortly before 9 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1, where there was a report of a dog-biting incident.
