Worker From Peekskill Dies After Falling From Business Roof A worker from Westchester died after falling off the roof of a Long Island business, police said. The incident happened in Suffolk County on Monday, Jan. 18 at around 3:40 p.m. Hector Aranda-Sanchez, age 27, of Peekskill, an employee of a Yonkers-based roofing company, was on the roof of Four Seasons Sunrooms and Windows, located at 5005 Veterans Memorial Highway in Holbrook, when he fell from the roof, police said. Construction Worker Struck, Killed In Hudson Valley A 58-year-old construction worker was struck and killed by a vehicle on Route 207 in Orange County while cleaning up from a paving job, according to the New York State Police. James Demmer of Monticello was struck around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday near 3317 Route 207 in Goshen by an unidentified person driving a 2016 Journey, said New York State Police Spokesman Steven Nevel.
