An unlicensed man driving drunk is facing a host of charges after crashing into a Hudson Valley home, as an occupant of the residence was able to escape injury, police say.
The Rockland County incident happened around 12:50 a.m. Friday, March 31 in New City, at the residence at 9 Carnaby Ct.
The driver, Jonathan Barnes, age 37, of West Nyack drove his vehicle through two fences, before crashing into the residence, Clarkstown Police Department Detective Norman Peters said.

A Hudson Valley man has pleaded guilty to attempted murder in the sledgehammer attack on a woman at a local hotel.
Rockland County resident Todd Humphrey, age 46, of Stony Point, plead guilty on Wednesday, March 29 stemming the violent attack at a West Nyack Hotel in October 2022, said Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Walsh.

Duo Charged With Kidnapping, Robbery In Incident At Hudson Valley Motel
Two Hudson Valley men were indicted on charges stemming from a kidnapping and robbery at a motel in the region.
Rockland County residents Jonathan Abikzer, age 30, of Monsey, and Michael Galkovich, age 46, of New City, were charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree kidnapping in the incident that happened in Garnerville earlier this month, Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Walsh announced on Tuesday, Aug. 30.
They were also charged with two counts of second-degree robbery, Walsh said.

ID Released For Man Struck, Killed By Vehicle In Hudson Valley
The identity of a man struck and killed by a vehicle on a busy Hudson Valley roadway has been released by police.
Rockland County resident Steven Semoff, age 64, was struck and killed at 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 6 in the area of North Little Tor Road and Tor Terrace in New City, said Detective Norm Peters of the Clarkstown Police.
The first arriving officers found Semoff laying on the southbound shoulder of North Little Tor Road, Peters said.
Semoff, a resident of New City, was pronounced dead at the scene, he added.

A registered sex offender was busted by undercover officers during a sexual predator sting operation in the Hudson Valley, officials announced.
In Rockland County, New Jersey resident Brian Reed, age 33, of Sussex, was busted and indicted following an online sting conducted by the District’s Attorney’s Special Investigative Unit.
Rockland County DA Thomas Walsh II noted that Reed is a registered sex offender with a past conviction in New Jersey.

Man Convicted For Murders Of Mother, Daughter In Hudson Valley
A Hudson Valley man has been convicted of murdering his ex-girlfriend and her mother.
A Rockland County jury found Robert C. Williams III, age 32, of Hillcrest, guilty on all charges, including first-degree murder Tuesday, April 19.
Prosecutors said Williams shot and killed Kathleen Castor, age 27, and Wanda Castor, age 63 at a home on Lake Road in Valley Cottage on Tuesday, May 26, 2020.
Kathleen Castor had an order of protection against Williams after their relationship ended, prosecutors said.
Her one-month-old baby was found alive and uninjured following the killings.
