Man, Woman Accused Of Dealing Heroin, Fentanyl, Crack In Hudson Valley
A duo from the Hudson Valley is facing serious charges after they were allegedly caught with hardcore drugs.
Ronald Bernard, age 62, and Sandra Fleming, age 66, both of the City of Poughkeepsie, were arrested after the Dutchess County Drug Task Force found them with large amounts of heroin, cocaine, and fentanyl, according to the sheriff’s office.
Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that can prove fatal in small doses and is increasingly found in illegal drugs like heroin.

Area Teens, Two Adults Nabbed In Stolen Vehicle With Guns, Police Say
Numerous Hudson Valley teens and two adults were nabbed in a stolen vehicle with guns after running from police.
The incident took place around 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 10 in Dutchess County when the City of Poughkeepsie Police spotted a stolen vehicle in a parking lot.
The vehicle was reported stolen out of Stamford, Connecticut, and occupied by several individuals, said Det. Sgt. George Camacho, of the City of Poughkeepsie Police.
When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, several people jumped out and fled, Camacho said.

A former town supervisor in the area has died at the age of 56.
Paul Hansut, who served as supervisor in the Town of Lloyd in Ulster County, died on Saturday, July 17.

Man Dies After Jumping From Bridge In Area
A local man was killed after he jumped from an area bridge.
The incident took place around 6:05 p.m., Saturday, April 24 in Dutchess County when 37-year-old Brendan J. Paredes, of Wappinger, jumped from the bridge on the Walkway Over the Hudson in the City of Poughkeepsie, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks.
State Police, New York State Park Police, City of Poughkeepsie Police Department, Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, and the City of Poughkeepsie Fire Department all responded to the bridge in an attempt to rescue Paredes, Hicks said.

Army Veteran Stabbed To Death Outside Veterans' Home In Area
A 55-year-old Army veteran was stabbed to death outside Liberty Station, the veterans' home where he lived in the City of Poughkeepsie.
Anthony Gray, 55, of the City of Poughkeepsie, was found fatally stabbed around 9:25 p.m., Friday, Oct. 16, on North Clinton Street when police responded to a report of a disturbance, said City of Poughkeepsie Police Captain Richard Wilson.
Gray, who was still alive, but in grave condition, was rushed to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during surgery around 1 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 17, Wilson said.

Police are asking the public for help identifying a man wanted in connection with a gunpoint robbery of a pharmacy.
The incident took place in Dutchess County around 5:59 p.m., Friday, June 5, in the City of Poughkeepsie, said Det. Lt. Matt Clark.
