Two Workers Rescued After Trench Collapses In Area Emergency workers are on the scene of a trench collapse that trapped two workers. The incident took place just after 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 10, in front of a home on Dwight Street, reported Poughkeepsie Mayor Rob Rolison. The men were reportedly working on a sewer line and were in a trench about 10-feet deep when it collapsed. One person was rescued and rushed to a local hospital for treatment, the Mayor said on Facebook. Route 9 Rollover Crash Injures One, Closes Roadway All lanes of Route 9 are open following a crash that closed the roadway for several hours in Fishkill and injured one person. The rollover crash took place around 7 a.m., Tuesday, April 2, in the southbound lane of Route 9 in Fishkill, said the Town of Fishkill Police. The crash brought down a utility pole when the vehicle overturned, police said.  Although the roadway has reopened, drivers should expect delays as Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp. employees work to repair downed wires and pole, police said.
