Car Goes Up In Flames On Route 59 In Hudson Valley
A car fire on a busy stretch of Route 59 in Rockland County brought emergency crews to the scene Wednesday evening, Nov. 19. According to the Clarkstown Police Department, officers and members of the Nanuet Fire Department responded to westbound Route 59 near the Route 304 overpass after receiving reports of a vehicle engulfed in flames. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, and no injuries were reported, police said. The cause of the fire was not immediately available.

Car Catches Fire On I-684 In Westchester
A car fire briefly shut down part of Interstate 684 on Sunday evening, Sept. 21. The incident happened Sunday evening on the southbound side of I-684 in Katonah, according to the Katonah Fire Department. Fire crews arrived to find the vehicle fully engulfed in flames. Crews soon stretched a hose line and quickly knocked down the blaze. All occupants had safely gotten out of the car before firefighters arrived, firefighters said.
