The blaze broke out in Rockland County at around 1:50 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 24 in Bardonia. A first-arriving Clarkstown Police Department officer observed flames coming from the rear of the home on Barry Lane, in the area of the soffits.  The occupants of the home were evacuating the residence as additional units were arriving on the scene.  All four occupants -- two adults and two children -- exited the home along with their two dogs, …

One Seriously Injured When Car Crashes With School Bus A driver was seriously injured after being hit by a school bus in Rockland County as it exited the Palisades Parkway. The incident took place around 7:22 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17, when a 2016 school bus was traveling northeast making a left onto Quaker Road off the exit 13 ramp in the town of Haverstraw, said New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel. The crash occurred when a 2008 Toyota Prius was traveling southwest off the ramp. Man Punches Staffer In Head At Emergency Room Of Area Hospital, Police Say A 37-year-old man is behind bars and facing a felony charge after punching a staff member in the head at Nyack Montefiore Hospital, Orangetown Police said. Police responded to the Emergency Department of Nyack Montefiore Hospital located at 160 North Midland Avenue in the Village of Nyack at around 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5.  The victim reported being punched with a closed fist, causing a laceration to the victim’s head which needed medical treatment.
