Man Slashes Tires Of 22 Hospital Workers In Cortlandt, Police Say A suspect has been charged after nearly two dozen hospital staffers who ended shifts battling the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic found the tires on their vehicles slashed. It happened in Northern Westchester at the New York-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt. At about 7 a.m. Friday, April 10, state police say they received a report of criminal mischief. Year-Long Investigation Leads To Auto Theft Charge For Area Man A Pleasant Valley man was arrested for alleged auto theft following a yearlong investigation into the incident. Matthew R. Mcclay, 22, was charged Friday, June 14, in connection with the incident that allegedly took place in April 2018, said Rhinebeck Police Sgt. Peter Dunn. Mcclay was charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, forgery of a vehicle ID number, auto stripping and unauthorized use of a vehicle, Dunn said. He was arraigned and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $1,500 cash bail. Mcclay is scheduled to appear in court on July 10.
