Man Found Dead At Park In Area, Police Say The body of a man was found at a park in the Hudson Valley by a passerby. The body was discovered around 4 a.m., Thursday, June 17, in Rockland County, at Spring Valley’s Memorial Park. The person who found the body called 911 and officers responded to the park where a bystander was attempting to perform CPR, said Spring Valley PD Detective Matt Galli. Police officers took over the attempt to save the man's life, but he was declared dead at the park, Galli said. 10-Digit Dialing Will Soon Be Required From Locals Calls In Parts Of Hudson Valley, Long Island Get ready to re-program your phone as 10-digit dialing is soon coming to parts of the Hudson Valley and Long Island. The change, which begins Saturday, April 24, was announced by The Federal Communications Commission in this month's phone bills. The reason behind the change is the FCC has adopted 988 as a new three-digit number to be used nationwide to reach the National Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Crisis Lifeline starting Friday, July 16. Fortini, 42, died on Wednesday, Jan. 1, from cancer stemming from his assignment to the World Trade Center site, announced State Police Superintendent Keith M.
