Wallkill Police Use Narcan To Revive Monroe Driver Who Hit Parked Car WALLKILL, N.Y. – Wallkill Police used Narcan to revive a driver who overdosed and hit a parked car on Tuesday, officials said. Police Officer Michael Nolte responded to a report of an accident just after noon in the parking lot of Home Depot on Route 211 East. Officers, including Deputy Chief Antonino Spano, and Sergeant Patrick Marcial, discovered that Matthew Green, 30, of Monroe had crashed into an unoccupied parked car. Neuhaus Lands Key Union Endorsement In Re-Election Bid ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. – County Executive Steve Neuhaus received the endorsement of CSEA’s Orange County Unit 7900 and Orange County Local 836 for re-election on Tuesday. Newburgh Market Owner Charged With Attempted Arson NEWBURGH, N.Y. – A Peekskill market owner tried to burn down his store on Friday, authorities said. Jesus Cruz, 43, was charged with arson in Friday's fire at the Ahorra Ahora Marketplace on Broadway, police said. A judge ordered him held without bail in the Orange County Jail, where he remained Wednesday. Cruz was arrested following an investigation by the Newburgh Fire Department and a Westchester County Police K-9 unit. Campbell Hall Man Charged With Stealing Money From Monroe Gas Station MONROE, N.Y. – A man from Campbell Hall is facing attempted robbery and petty larceny charges after he took money from a gas station cash register in Monroe on Tuesday morning, according to the Times Herald-Record. Andrew Margillo, 30, walked into the gas station around 4 a.m. and approached the register while the attendant was in the back. He took the money and fled the scene on a bicycle, the Record reported. Maybrook Police Chief Among Five Officers Honored By Village MAYBROOK, N.Y. – Village of Maybrook Police Chief Arnold “Butch” Amthor and four other officers were honored by the Village board for their actions in violent standoff that took place in May, according to the Times Herald-Record. Kiryas Joel Man Pleads Guilty To Conspiracy In Alleged Murder Plot KIRYAS JOEL, N.Y. – A Kiryas Joel man will spend at least 21 months in prison after pleading guilty to charges stemming from an alleged plot to kidnap and murder another member of the community who wouldn't give his wife a divorce, according to the Times Herald-Record.
