Crews Demolish Vacant Port Jervis Home PORT JERVIS, N.Y. – Crews knocked down a decaying house in The Acre section of Port Jervis on Friday after it was deemed unsafe, according to the Times Herald-Record.  Mayor Kelly Decker called an emergency meeting of the Common Council, who agreed to knock the structure down. Middletown Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting 2 Kids In New Jersey MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – A Middletown man broke into a Wantage Township, N.J. home and sexually assaulted two children last month, according to New Jersey State Police.  Craig Lassiter, 33, broke into the home on Sept. 18 just after 2 a.m. and entered the bedroom of two minors. New Windsor Couple Sentenced In 'Family Ties' Drug Bust NEW WINDSOR, N.Y. – A New Windsor husband and wife both received sentencing on Thursday for their roles in the "Family Ties" drug sweep throughout the area, according to the Times Herald-Record.  Ruben Cruz, 53, will serve up to six years in prison after second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. His wife, Nancy Cruz, 46, was facing stiffer charges but pleaded guilty to misdemeanor drug possession and will be released with time served, the Record said.  The couple was found with more than four ounces of cocaine in their home when it was searched, the Record said.…

Several Pine Bush Students Treated For Minor Injuries Following Bus Crash PINE BUSH, N.Y. – Several Pine Bush students were treated for minor injuries after a school bus crashed into a guardrail on Route 302 on Thursday afternoon. The crash occurred just after 2:30 p.m. near Thompson Ridge. The students on board were evaluated at the scene by EMS and the Pine Bush Volunteer Fire Department.
