PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Hunger never takes a vacation.
So to make sure the City of Peekskill's children stay happy and healthy after school lets out for the summer, the school district will be providing free meals at several locations.
The program runs from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays from July 5 through Aug. 5.
It will be located at Peekskill Middle School, located at 212 Ringgold St.; Dunbar Heights, a residential complex off Highland Avenue run by the Peekskill Housing Authority; and the Kiley Youth Center, located at 709 Main St.
Children participating in programs at the City of Peekskill Youth Bureau will also be eligible for free meals.
There are no income requirements and registration is not necessary, school officials said.
Any child under the age of 18 may take part in the program, which is run under the auspices of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
