Police Charge Man With Aggravated DWI After Route 6 Crash

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. – Police charged Luis A. Osorio, 39, of Brewster, with a misdemeanor aggravated driving while intoxicated, according to a police report.

Putnam County 911 dispatched troopers to investigate a motor vehicle collision on Route 6 in Southeast on Wednesday, Oct. 21. Police said that Osorio was traveling westbound and struck two parked vehicles. The police determined that Osorio was intoxicated at the time of the collision, according to the report.

The police report also said that Osorio provided a breath sample that yielded a Blood Alcohol Content of .21 percent, which is more than twice the legal limit of intoxication.

Osorio posted bail and will pay a traffic ticket by Nov. 5, according to the police report.
