Peekskill Man Charged With Felony, Aggravated DWI In Cortlandt

CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- New York State Police charged a Peekskill man with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated on Sunday in the town of Cortlandt, according to officials.

Alphonso E. Gourdine, 40, was pulled over for allegedly failing to maintain his lane of travel, police said.

A breath sample that yielded a blood alcohol content of 0.19 percent, more than twice the legal limit. He was charged with a felony due to a previous DWI conviction in October 2008, police said.

Gourdine is scheduled to appear in Cortlandt Town Court on Feb. 6, police said.
