Anni Reuter, 92, Former Peekskill Resident

MERIDEN, Conn. - Anni Reuter, formerly of Meriden, Wallingford and Peekskill, N.Y., died Oct., 29. She was 92.

Reuter was born May 22, 1922, in Germany, to Karl A. and Hermine Doepke Schmidt. She had been a resident of Peekskill, N.Y., for many years until moving to Connecticut in 1985. She had been a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Wallingford.

Reuter is survived by her sons, Herbert Schmidt of Germany and Karl Heinz Reuter of New York; daughters, Edith (Edward) Farley of Branford, Irma LiVigni of Meriden, Margarete Jenkins of Wappingers Falls, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews in Germany and the U.S.A. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Karl L. Reuter; and sister, Ilse Abraham.

Funeral services will be private, held in the chapel of the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St. Burial will be at the Hillside Cemetery in Peekskill.
