Westchester USPS Workers Stole 200-Plus Gift Cards From Mail, Feds Say
Two former postal workers in Westchester County are facing federal charges for stealing more than 200 gift cards from the mail and using them for their own benefit, prosecutors said.
Pian Pian Wong-Tam, 59, and William Wong, 57, both of New York City, were presented on Friday, Sept. 25, before Chief US Magistrate Judge Judith C. McCarthy on charges stemming from the alleged scheme, the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York announced.

Angela Stribling, a former BET host, jazz artist, and longtime radio personality whose voice became a staple in Washington, DC, and beyond, has died, loved ones announced on social media Sunday, Sept. 27. She was 58 years old.
A cause of death was not made public.
Her friend and former BET colleague Ed Gordon was one of many mourning her loss.

A defining voice from the MTV-era new wave boom has gone silent.
Naked Eyes announced Wednesday, Sept. 23, that Pete Byrne, the singer and songwriter for the British synth-pop group, had died at age 74.
Byrne died peacefully in Los Angeles, California, on Monday, Sept. 14, following a brief illness, according to the announcement posted on the band’s website.
