Leak Causes 'Dangerous Icy Conditions' On Busy Westchester Road: 'Be Careful' Officials are warning motorists of icy conditions on a busy Westchester road as they wait for crews to begin repairing the leak causing the issue. According to an announcement by Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner on Friday, Dec. 1, a leak on West Hartsdale Avenue (Route 100A) in Hartsdale has been causing "dangerous icy conditions" on cold days as a result of water flowing down the roadway.  The conditions have caused cars to slide on the ice, Feiner said, adding that luckily, no crashes have happened. Brush Fire Ignites Near Residential Street In Croton-On-Hudson A late-night brush fire prompted a quick response from firefighters near a residential street in Northern Westchester. The blaze began on Thursday, Nov. 30 just before midnight in Croton-on-Hudson at the corner of Warren Road and Briggs Lane, which is close to Route 9, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department.  Crews soon arrived to put out the fire, which contained mostly dead brush.  After around an hour, the blaze was extinguished and firefighters soaked the area to prevent more flare-ups.

Person Hospitalized After Vehicle Rollover In Somers One person was taken to a hospital following a crash that left a car flipped over on its roof in Northern Westchester.  The crash happened on Thursday, Nov. 30 around 12:30 p.m., when a car rolled over near Lake Lincolndale in Somers, according to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department.  Crews arrived at the scene within minutes and were able to get the driver out of the vehicle before taking them to the hospital.  The response to the crash took around an hour in total.
