Snowstorm Disrupts Routines In Northern Westchester

OSSINING, N.Y. -- The snowstorm shut down much of Northern Westchester on Friday.

The storm closed all the schools in the region. 

A fire was reported at the Cook Memorial Pool in Cortlandt with Montrose firefighters on the scene, according to LoHud,com.

The Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville delayed opening until 2 p.m.

The Ossining Library, Field Library in Peekskill and Hendrick Hudson Library in Cortlandt are all closed. 

The City of Peekskill has announced that as a result of the dangerously low temperatures and wind-chill factor, a warming center has opened at the Peekskill Neighborhood Center at 4 Nelson Ave.

The warming center will be open until 8 p.m. this evening.
